Syllabus Overview

This is the official syllabus for Cambridge International AS & A-Level Computer Science (9618). At the AS Level, Paper 1 focuses on the theory fundamentals of computer science, while Paper 2 develops essential problem-solving and programming skills. At the A2 Level, Paper 3 explores advanced theory in greater depth, and Paper 4 extends students’ abilities in problem-solving and programming. Together, these four papers provide a comprehensive foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of computer science, preparing students for further study and real-world application.

Theory Fundamentals

75 marks

  • Section 1 to 8 of the syllabus content
  • Written paper
  • 50% of the AS Level
  • 25% of the A Level
Paper 2

2 hours

Fundamental Problem-solving & Programming Skills

  • Section 9 to 12 of the syllabus content
  • Written paper
  • 50% of the AS Level

Advanced Theory

  • Section 13 to 20 of the syllabus content

No, we do not offer Oct/Nov intake.
No, you cannot; you would have to join the session to get the recordings.
The fee is Rs. 5,000 per month for AS and A2 students and Rs. 10,000 per month for composite students.
Each live class is recorded and then posted on the portal for students to access, ensuring that students don't fall behind.
Yes, since the session started in August and all recorded lectures are available, students who join later still need to clear the fees for the previous months. This policy ensures fairness to all students who have been paying regularly since August while receiving the same content.

No, there’s only one batch and its session started in August. There will be a crash course around February, but that will only cover CS Paper 4 and Paper 2. The classes in the crash course will be relatively fast-paced compared to the regular session.
No, we only offer A Level Computer Science classes for now.
No, we don’t offer discounts. Fee concession is only considered in cases of genuine financial difficulty, which you will need to explain to us.
No, we don’t offer a separate yearly past paper session. We believe yearly past papers should be completed by students for preparation. However, by the end of the session, we conduct a 10-day topical past paper session.
